Talon secures patented technology for Tekfit waistband

Talon International Inc announced an end to its extended legal battle with Pro-Fit Holdings, Limited regarding Talon's rights to the patented Tekfit stretch-waistband technology, and that the Company has now completed the process of securing those patent rights within the U.S. as well as the ability to market this technology worldwide.
The litigation with Pro-Fit began in 2004 when Pro-Fit sought to void the Company's exclusive technology license and intellectual property agreement after seeing the tremendous success the Company achieved. "This highly innovative waistband technology, which the Company branded and has marketed as its Tekfit© waistband since 2002, has been incorporated into many of the top retail brands and sold through hundreds of retail outlets," noted Lonnie Schnell, Talon's CEO.

"Talon has sold the Tekfit technology under such brands as Polo Ralph Lauren, Roundtree & Yorke, Jack Nicklaus and Bobby Jones Golf, Eddie Bauer and Levi's Dockers." The Tekfit waistband has been heralded by the industry as the most advanced technology in pant designs that provide comfort-fit and stretch-flexibility in standard non-stretchable fabric. During the years 2003 through 2007 over 50 million Tekfit waistbands were used by Levi Strauss in their Dockers pants, and today these waistbands are being incorporated into quality sports and casual apparel by major retailers such as Dillard's, HMX and Sak's 5th Avenue.

"We are pleased to have this litigation now fully behind us, and more importantly, to have fully secured all patented technology rights and privileges in the process," noted Schnell. "The Pro-Fit litigation left many customers hesitant to incorporate a unique technology while its ownership was in dispute, and this uncertainty severely hampered our ability to sell this product. Despite this apprehension, the amazing capabilities of the Tekfit© technology allowed us to continue to build confidence with selected brands. Now that the uncertainty is ended, we are already seeing the retail appetite for this innovative product change," Schnell continued.

Forget tight and clingy - this season it's the relaxed slouchy leather pant! This is one addition to your wardrobe you won't regret. It's as easy to style as jeans, plus it will give you an instant update and you won't have to think if you're able to fit into them after that bowl of pasta. Slip on and off you go. Haven't seen that many high street versions around yet, but I expect that Zara, Asos, Topshop and H&M will soon follow suit! My favourites so far are from Massimo Dutti. Nice and luxurious soft leather and good value for money and there are some excellent ones in track pant style at shopbop!

Fashion Talk - Hilary Duff, the poster girl for curves rocks in skinny jeans and heels

Today, the mother-of-one was ever the fashionista in bright red skinny jeans and a plain white T-shirt so as not to detract from her accessories. She looks gorgeous with her latest fashion trends.

She recently told In Touch magazine: 'I'm not perfect, but I feel fantastic. This is how it goes for most women - the weight doesn't fall off overnight.'

Giving her petite 5ft 1in frame an additional boost, the 24-year-old tottered along on black heels instead of running errands in more practical trainers.

Hilary was enjoying an afternoon off from motherhood, heading for Switch boutique in Beverly Hills without little Luca in tow.

Continuing to execute on its global expansion strategy Gap Inc. announced the opening of its first stand-alone store location in Mexico under its strategic alliances channel.
Previously, Gap Inc. offered Gap-branded merchandise in a franchise “store within a store” concept in Liverpool Department stores throughout Mexico. This stand-alone store opening signifies an evolution in consumer awareness and affinity for the Gap brand and Gap Inc.’s continuing focus on providing American style to consumers around the globe.

Consumers responded positively to our initial product offerings in Mexico, so we believe there is tremendous opportunity for us in the market for this store and beyond.”
Building on its existing wholesale relationship with Distribuidora Liverpool, S.A. DE C.V., Gap will open its store in the newly designed Interlomas Mall, which sits in the northern suburb of Interlomas just outside of Mexico City. The Biker Coat

Zara
Sandro 465 Euro...

...or get almost the same at Zara for 149 Euro!
Asos
Mango

One of my favourites this season is the Biker Coat, a long hybrid version of a Biker Jacket! Zara's got a great selection and they are a fab cut and good quality wool mixed with leather! Wear it all in black like Freja or pair it with some voluminous ankle length pants à la Céline for a modern look. It's edgy, very easy to wear and actually goes with anything in your wardrobe.
